Brief: Highly motivated global staff have limited formal opportunities to develop leadership skills. Building a cohort of learners requires attention to availability across time zones, workloads, and a variety of experiences.
Learning solution: Multi-modal training and mentorship program
My role: Implementation
Flexible program design crafted by the Learning & Development Director with blended learning modules covering 6 critical project leader responsibilities.
A six-week cohort style program with on demand pre-work, live training, coaching, and mentorship bookended with an orientation and a graduation ceremony.
Participants received individualized support paired with expert instruction and peer to peer learning, plus the opportunity to apply concepts to their current project context.
20+ hours of tailored instruction and coaching.
Staff who are formally trained in soft and hard project leadership skills, drawing on case studies, peer learning, and mentoring by seasoned leaders.
A connected global network of peers and 38 of the company’s expert facilitators, mentors, and coaches.
54 high-performing staff from 20+ countries graduated. Nine graduates have ascended to the highest leadership role.
89% rated the course components very or extremely effective.
The program was scaled to include leaders from additional business lines, project sector experience, and countries.
